Confiscation of Russian assets: practice of Ukraine and its allies (January - September 2023)
The report examines the activity and effectiveness of the confiscation mechanism of Russian assets in Ukraine, which operates on the basis of decisions of the High Anti-Corruption Court. The practice of the High Anti-Corruption Court regarding the confiscation of Russian assets and the problems that arise during this process are analyzed. Draft amendments to the legislation have been formulated to improve the process of confiscation of Russian assets in Ukraine. An analysis of the international experience with the confiscation of assets of the Russian Federation was carried out, in particular, relevant initiatives and practices in the USA and Canada. Media monitoring of key official statements and initiatives regarding the confiscation of Russian assets was carried out.
